Competitive Shooting: Not just for Men

Posted by on Jul 20, 2015 in News |

Competitive shooting is experiencing a surge in popularity. It is one of the few sports where a 72 year old grandpa and his 10 year old grand daughter can compete together in. Some are nervous of the idea of children using “powerful” weapons- but with some basic education kids can enjoy shooting sports extremely safely. Any sport can be dangerous but popular sports such as cheerleading, football and soccer have far more injuries. I cannot find any record of a major injury or death in a sanctioned gun competition. These matches are run by professionals who are dogmatic about safety rules and procedures.

Shooting sports teach coordination, discipline and increase stamina, strength and fine motor skills. You can grow in a diverse sport and compete your entire lifetime.
